This was an excellent sequel to the first book with a different sort of mystery and suspense. Perhaps not quite as exciting as the first book but nonetheless well worth reading.
Marina and Ethan’s relationship appears to have moved past the infatuation stage and on towards a more solid/mature form of respect and love.
I wish that Derrolyn had given Ethan’s character a bit more depth but since this story is told from a first-person angle, that may have been hard to do. A good bit of the story revolves around fashion and design implying that the book’s target demographic is Young Adult Females (YAFs). However, there is enough action and adventure in this story to catch the interest of more mature Young Adult Males (YAMs).
All in all, a good and worthwhile read.
