The title of this site is a play upon the song, Macpherson’s Rant – also known as Macpherson’s Lament. The name Macpherson means son of the Parson and since my last name is Parsons, I thought that I would be thoroughly un-original here.

Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity - Ecclesiastes 1:2

I have often thought that personal blogs are little more than vanity sites and this one is definitely no exception. If you’re expecting a rabid right-wing rant, go some place else. If you’re expecting the pompous prose of a political pundit, go some place else. If you’re expecting the musings of . . . a poor player That struts and frets his hour upon the stage And then is heard no more, well . . . you may find something of worth on these pages. Then again, maybe not.

Generally, I blog about technology as well as anything else that can be discussed in mixed company. Some of the posts may have more to do with a bit of sly humour than anything else. I do a good bit of blogging about Young Adult fiction. I do avoid the topics of Religion and/or Politics which should only be discussed in private by consenting adults.

My TechnoRants© are usually about making computing technology easier and more accessible for the everyday user.

This site – like all websites – will be under constant construction. Things will be added when – and if – I find the time and progress will most likely proceed at a glacial pace. Nonetheless, keep dropping by to see what – if anything – is going on.

Meanwhile, here’s a pretty picture:

To see ourselves as others see us is a most salutary gift. Hardly less important is the capacity to see others as they see themselves.
